So, you are wondering about the explanation of reality through mental health.
Hello. Nice title, eh? I might exactly be offering an explanation of everything that reality appears as, but I have just published Part One of a description of the basis of what is happening as reality for mental health.
What is the Relationship Between Phenomenalism and Mental Health ?
Part_1_The Actual Philosophical Basis of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Now, I must resist on summarizing the paper here in this post. But Im more of an immediate gratification person than I am patient.
But, if I can be a little of both, maybe that’s why everything makes sense.
Isn’t that what everyone wants? For everything to make sense?
Explanation of Reality and Mental Health
But how do we find it? Well, through two types of ways, or routes, we understand what knowledge is.
- The content
- the thing itself
What has happened at least through the 20th century is that the way of the content has become dominant, and systems have overridden the thing itself. We call this kind of knowing Cartesian, which is a word for the person who said
“I think, therefore I am!”
Which basically says: what every makes sense to me IS.

By that people come up with the Subject and the Object – duality, the Cartesian Duality.
But what actually happened is the Content became all that is knowable of the Thing itself. This is what Kant gave us as a methodological dictate.
Finding the Truth in the Explanation
The problem, though, in lived experience, occurs when we over identify with the Content of the Object rather than the Object Itself, so to speak.

We think the picture I have of thing is the way things are. So, if I am having a problem I thus look to the world outside of me to solve my problem because if how I think, I think the world is, and I am having a mental issue, then I cannot have access to to the solution: Something is wrong with me, so I look to more content thinking that I am finding Objective things, but what I am really dong is confirming that I am a problem that cannot be solved.
What Kind of Therapy Should I Use?
This point does not mean that a person must come to some sort of particular or specific way to understand themselves. I am not proposing some new therapy.
Actually, this accounts for all types of therapy. All types of intervention. They all serve to help the person to meet reality as it is, to encounter themselves as they are, since, if a person can see themselves for what they actually are, then they will naturally implement corrections to their state of Being.
All interventions work in this way despite what they themselves are saying they are doing for someone.
This is because in truth You Are Mattering.

Find yourself.
