I am creating a series of talks about Mental Health Philosophy. Below is the first one.

Im starting from a very practical place, a very open place. To help us move into mental health philosophy and to come back to mental health itself.

beginning with Philosophy: the Streams

In this talk I being with philosophy. And outline what I see as the possibilities of how we can understand what philosophy is. I imagine that if we are to get to what mental health actually is, then we likely will have to have some sort of understanding of how we might get there.

Anything we can call philosophy necessarily is constituted by at least one of three, what I will call streams:

  • academic
  • ontological
  • living
mental health philosophy

Being that I am not extremely tech-savvy, I am starting here. I hope to perhaps make a Patreon site, podcasts, and videos, from these. Right now I am starting with just the audio of the video of the talks of mental health philosophy.

I hope you enjoy this. And please comment. I love feedback.

About this blog

Essays in mental health philosophy—less “tips,” more why things work (or don’t). I look at the first principles under therapy, psychiatry, psychology, and everyday life, and occasionally share notes from papers and books-in-progress.

This space stands alongside—not inside—my counseling practice. If you’re seeking therapy in Colorado, there’s a link in the footer.
