Exploring the being of knowing

Real Philosophy

What is philosophy if it is not about the experience of our lives?

Did you just reduce that statement to a definition? Or did you accept what it actually means?

Even if it is crunching semantics, to what are such meaning reflecting?

As philosophers, how often do we use ‘philosophical engagement with texts’ as a way to avoid what we are, what you are, what I am?

Or worse! how often do I think I AM the text rather than that the text is but a part of what I am ?

Do you read to know or to make an argument ?

Mental heath philosophy accounts for every philosophical idea that has arisen in a complete tapestry of sense that eludes the mere subjectivity airing in the modern content, as the postmodern might be likely to sew ourselves.

Are you still doubting ? Did you choose to do that yourself, or are you following someone’s rules about how to engage ?

Have we and are we healed or are we still suturing the epistemological gap that arises in our ontological founding in (post-)modern text?

Are we finding solutions or are we preventing solutions because we are afraid to present ourselves for what we are?

About this blog

Essays in mental health philosophy—less “tips,” more why things work (or don’t). I look at the first principles under therapy, psychiatry, psychology, and everyday life, and occasionally share notes from papers and books-in-progress.

This space stands alongside—not inside—my counseling practice. If you’re seeking therapy in Colorado, there’s a link in the footer.
