The normal life of narcissism developing by the encounter with the self-absorption give rise to appropriately bounded dis-concern of healthy growth on the one hand, and the reactionary, increasingly desperate, acting-out of the narcissist on the other.

As the behavior of narcissism comes into the light, the narcissist’s subjectivity becomes more revealed to its tightening smallness, personal singularity, and selfishness.

Normalcy returns to its path of showing singularities to their rarity of little isolated power and relevance in the universe. Like black holes, they are interesting and powerful when viewed and encountered at thier horizons, but for the rest of the universe, they are really just spots of nothingness that most people generally ignore in everyday life. Their power realistically tiny in the real unfolding of negotiation of power.

Only those who are interested in black holes see their effect everywhere, but while missing the relative reality of their presence in existence.

The darkness cannot hold, so the narcissist becomes more violent in thier attempt to have everyone else be nothing. The abnormality of narcissism becomes normalized to its proper relations in real humanity, Which is: ridiculousness and nonsense.

About this blog

Essays in mental health philosophy—less “tips,” more why things work (or don’t). I look at the first principles under therapy, psychiatry, psychology, and everyday life, and occasionally share notes from papers and books-in-progress.

This space stands alongside—not inside—my counseling practice. If you’re seeking therapy in Colorado, there’s a link in the footer.
