A psychoanalyst give us the psychological-methodological version of an object (by inference).
The beginnings of an object-oriented theory of counseling can begin here, in this kind of interventionalist apporach, but, I imagine, an encompassing theory of counseling is missed in such methodological myopia. This is to say, the significance of this kind of intervention can be lost in the presumption of a transferable unreflected presumption by the psychotherapist simply because of the Therapist’s focus in their own ability and knowledge (without understanding the philosophical ground).
