this is totally amazing to me.
I’ve known for a long time that Frank Zappa was a very smart guy; an incredible musician but I also knew he was really smart.
I was never really into his music very much even though, but I could appreciate it.
but just page through this interview on the TV show that he had in 1972. and then reflect on our times; if there’s any sort of discussion about any sort of music now days it is entirely superficial and usually plagued with sound bytes about some sort of political statement, all of which probably last about 10 seconds. Basically, Zappa predicted that just by talking about situation with music back then.
and, yes, it’s a bunch of white people on the show speaking intellectually.
do you think any of our music stars nowadays would open themselves up to such free discussion about whatever a group of people want to pose for them?
oh, and check out if anything 24 minutes into it. so perfect and insightful.
do you think any of our popular music stars can even formulate an opinion with such substance, let alone elaborate upon that opinion for like 40 minutes.
like, “gag me with a spoon!”
The word “intelligent” in the broadest sense is most often applied as a categorical error. To say that human beings are intelligent in the same way that scholars or astrophysicist are “more” intelligent, is not a rating of degree but is actually a categorical error, a sort of ideological consolidating propaganda.
To say that human beings are intelligent merely says that they manifest differently in the universe than other things that human beings come across. To refer to intelligence as anything other than that is an ideological move for consolidation and equivocation.
For, obviously tucker Carlson is intelligent, but the word applied to him doesn’t really mean very much.
So it is that the task before us is to distinguish knowledge from foolishness.
Because the world is filled with intelligent fools.
“Some thing is always wrong when it comes to intelligence.”
We should by now realize that our leaders have only a simulacrum of intelligence.
The climate is changing because the manner human beings view the world is changing. Involved; inseparate; acausal.
Storms arise and destroy; the storm must be a storm, even while those who live intelligently and ethically resist and ride it out and rebuild.
Yeah it sucks; but there is, at this point, no ability to effectively mount an argument with the storm, and indeed such efforts merely fuel the power of the storm.
Storms move air, only circulate energy but on a scale that intelligence can only speculate about. And that is because the storm has no intelligence but it a Natural force which arises within certain conditions which involve the human ideal of intelligence.
But the storm is vacant of intelligence; it is only a motion of energy that has developed out of the ideal of intelligence, a motion that moves beyond intelligence, which will dissipate in time, as it attempts to organize use itself intelligently. But it is vacant of such organization of intelligence.
What you think?
Proposal: That which exists, involves motion but no intelligence, is Chaos.
Fulfillment is the removal of philosophical suspension, the falling into utter practical idealism. That is, the “middle road” where Thought occupies subjectivity occupies identity is agency.
The confidence and surety of one’s cosmological place is fulfillment. It has nothing to do with Reason, argument or proof, for that which is fulfilled already manifests these aspects as unmovable.
It is thus the location, or where one looks to find Or have fulfillment, that is the issue. What could be called psychological orientation upon things. But this is not an issue of self versus other; it is an issue of viewing. Less about knowing, but the motion of knowing.
A world of immovable fulfillment where a centralized intelligence presides over everything else, as opposed to everything innate or inherent to intelligence, is a chaotic world.
