—– Love the contextualization!

My main rebuttal is in the ideal of a “close reading” of texts through which one is able to find what the author is really saying.

It seems to me, ironically that 1. Such an ability contradicts the meaning that one would get from many of the authors mentioned, and 2) a close reading, if achievable, brings of the issue that I refer to in the question “what is the author trying to accomplish?”. 3) this last question , I feel, really goes to the heart of Blake’s excellent exegesis of the philosophical corpus. For, the next question concerns how philosophers have been noticing this repetition of philosophical ideas at least since the beginning of the Modern era, if not longer.

To me, something else is actually occurring which is not being addressed, which all these authors are indeed addressing, albeit, over and over under different organizations of terms.
