To think ahead the human being and their conditions. To teach critical thinking. To reflect on the world. To create concepts. These are big purposes. But again i like philosophy linked to our daily life as opposed to some philosophical schools that are so complicated and abstract. These to me are more gymnastics to the mind, which can be beautiful and strongly argumentative, but somehow useless to our daily life
