Is there an ideological force for good; or, is there is only force?
When I look at the history of Latin America that I’m listening to on NPR right now, how can anyone think that there is any sort of sense going on in governmental regime in various countries, and American or Russian interventions in those countries?
From my eyes, the idea of a people governing themselves or that we should let the people speak in their particular area of the world for governance, has no intelligence behind it. Or better, the intelligence that is enacted has nothing to do with any sort of ‘proletariat’ consciousness or towards good of any sort. The ‘good people’ who revolt and etcetera end up being conned and or supporting a regime that is ‘bad’. As well, the policies of American government basically show that the people that are making the decisions here are morons also.
I think one of the things we’re going to have to come to terms with is that given the world population for any period of time, most people are plain stupid and reactionary, And this includes the people that are in power, as well as people who “believe” that they are acting intelligently, not just regular people, so to speak.
I think it is most probable that in the generations to come there are going to be some real hard decisions about what freedom is, what is good for the people, what exactly “the people” are, and whether what is “good for the people” is actually good for humanity. We’re going to have to come to terms in a very real way what “good” means.
