Philosophers never take a stand, it seems..

It’s funny how my philosophical posts tend to get a fair amount of views, but then my posts that say anything definitive about people and take a stand on issues get hardly any.


Why do you think that is?

  1. Perhaps, specifics issues are considered opinions. People can’t say much without it being dismissed as just that – personal opinions. After that the conversation get nowhere.

    General topics like the reality we can argue because it is covers just about every aspect of life.

    For example, the contentious point of whether concepts exist or not goes to fundamental view of just about everything. It is the starting point. Whether two people agree on the core will mean how well they can hold a dialogue.
