Ontology (conventional) philosophy is about what might be really true, concerned with finding essential foundations.
Teleology is about finding what works and exposeing empty speculation for it’s worth.
These are therefore no ‘essential’ categories and do not apply ‘in essence’ to placing historical discourses, but concern only what is working now; but more, what that implicates about what fails or that failure of what is routinely otherwise taken as given as really true for any moment.
There are other more involved repercussions about our moment and history that will be explored elsewhere.
